A Father's Heart is  is an honest and open retelling of events that while common throughout the world demonstrate the special relationship between a unique pair of people. It is meant to provide a look into the heart of a father during some of the most poignant times in his life. It illustrates the importance and pitfalls of the modern-day relationship between a parent and child.

Madi and I had a very special relationship, both as father and daughter and as coach and player.   There were times when people wondered how we were able to balance the relationships so well and keep one from interfering with or jeopardizing the other.   The answer was simple.  We were so much alike that to disavow the other was to disavow ourselves.
